2026 Class Details

Our comprehensive two-hour class will be a combination of instruction, demonstration, and hands-on learning. You will be taught proven methods to manage goose populations. We have over two decades of experience with these methods, so we know they work.

The following essentials will be included:

  • Background on Canada Geese in Our Area. A quick overview of these geese and how they came to populate the St. Louis area.

  • Seasonal Behavior of Geese. The more you know about their distinctive behaviors, the better equipped you will be to identify potential problems before they start.

  • The Four-Pronged Approach to Managing Populations. The most successful programs make use of each of these elements.

    • Limiting Reproduction

    • Site Aversion

    • Habitat Modification

    • Public Education

In addition to the class itself, you will be provided with resources to back up what you have learned. You will receive a manual with all the information from the class. It includes extensive explanations of the Four-Pronged Approach, with pictures and diagrams, along with easy-to-access videos.

There is an entire section of reference material, too, to make your program run as smoothly as possible. We also provide literature and fliers you can use (including links to the files, so you can personalize them to your site), if your company or organization wants to distribute information to employees, residents, etc.

The cost for the class is $10 per person attending. You can pay via the PayPal button to the right, either before or after registering. (There is also a payment button on the registration confirmation page.)
